Welcome to B...Hello Sharon, Thanks for stopping by. Welcome to Blogland. I am a new blogger too, just 3 months into it, but I am really enjoying myself and I know you will too. I have come across so many beautiful people that I feel sad I did not start my blog earlier. Your swing on the porch gives a warm feeling, as if we are sitting on the swing together and chatting. I am so glad you like my crochet. My inspiration for blogging was Lucy from Attic24 and her beautiful crochet. You are becoming a Grandma for the fourth time.....Great!! My best wishes to your daughter. Do share pics of the baby. I am hoping to make lots of crocheted goodies for my grandchildren. (My son is only 19...LOL). I was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis 12 years back. So I do the housework on my "good days" and I have stopped feeling apologetic about not getting everything done. Of course I crochet on ALL the days...ha ha... inspite of my doctor forbidding me! Crochet makes me happy and of course keeps me sane. Let us keep in touch and enjoy this journey thru Blogdom together.
Lots of love
SangeethaSangeethahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02080976907045769857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1186006531196880035.post-69999486580841148532012-07-26T11:46:56.686-04:002012-07-26T11:46:56.686-04:00Tammy, thanks for dropping by and giving such kind...Tammy, thanks for dropping by and giving such kind words of encouragement. concerning the RA, I started with knee problems and shoulder problems. After 2 rotator cuff surgeries and a knee replacement, I noticed that my hands were sometimes swelling and were very painful to move. Unfortunately, my RA wasn't caught early enough and I already have damage to my right wrist to the point that it won't bend. I have had 2 additional knee replacements (1 a full replacement and the other a repair of that replacement). My advice to you is if you are experiencing this pain, get your doctor to refer you to a rheumatologist. There are a series of tests that have to be done which basically rule out everything else. RA doesn't have a definitive test other than the RA factor in blood work and the SED rate which is a measure of inflammation. Always trust your body and what it is telling you. Again thanks for dropping by.Grammy Braxtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15719293877336161714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1186006531196880035.post-78114247723991010232012-07-26T05:37:42.716-04:002012-07-26T05:37:42.716-04:00Hi Sharon, welcome to the blog world. My uncle has the same kinda swing on his front porch in OH -- when I visit, I love sitting there watching the world go by. Of course, he lives in a small town, so there's hardly any real action going on. :)

What were your symptoms before you were diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis? Every day when I wake up, the bones in some of my fingers just ache -- even though I know I have done anything. Of course, my thumb on my left hand I can understand as the joint there has been damaged a couple of times from falls. But the other ones, I don't quite get. Today it was my middle finger on my right hand. When I stretch my hands out, I can feel the pain in those bones. I just wonder what could be causing it all of a sudden. I have been crocheting and cross-stitching a lot since I'm on summer holiday. I hope you will post some things you have done or are working on.

Congrats on your newest little "jellybean" to be. Wishing you a wonderful day.
