Here I am, peeking around the corner........

Hello, folks. I am so ashamed. I've been lurking in the shadows, reading your blogs and occasionally commenting, but I haven't been doing any blogging myself. I've had several bouts with pain over the last few weeks and with Christmas almost upon me, I've been trying to get presents bought and wrapped, and decorations up. It's really hard to do these things when your hands won't cooperate or your back decides that it's had enough and starts screaming with pain everytime you bend over just slightly or stand too long in one place.

Luckily, the internet is out there. It has been my salvation this year for present buying. Without it, there would have been no presents to put under the tree, just gift cards and money. Little ones don't understand gift cards and money. They want to unwrap a present. With the oldest grandchild just 5, that means looking for items they can unwrap. I love hearing the mail lady drop a package on my porch or watching the FedEx guy try to decide if my dog is friendly so he can deliver my package. :)

Anyhoo, that's why I haven't been around lately. I'm loving all your posts with your decorations and your makes. All your houses look so warm and friendly. And my, oh, my, the makes. There are going to be some very lucky people out there this year.

Hugs to you all. I'll be back after Christmas, hopefully with photos and lots to tell. Who knows, I might even get around to posting more than once a month.  HA!

  1. Hi Sharon! Thank you for lurking and commenting as you are able :) I am sorry for the pain you have been having, but admire your determination to celebrate life as best you can. My knees are not fond of long times standing up but I have been able to get some swimming in the last three weeks for which I am very grateful! I look forward to your next post, but meanwhile I hope you have blessed days with less or no pain! xx

  2. It's SO good to see you posting! I've missed you. I'm so sorry that you've been bothered with pain and I understand the draw of Internet shopping. I've done my fair share of it this year. :-). I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
    Blessings,

  3. Dear Sharon, Felt really bad that you are in pain. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes. So thoughtful of you to buy gifts for the young ones. I too love giving gifts that the kids will enjoy rather than cards. I once gifted a xylophone to my best friend's daughter and while the kid enjoyed it, I don't think it made me very popular in that house.....haha. (Mainly because the kiddo insisted on playing it at bedtime!!). Hope you have a lovely, wonderful and pain-free Christmas.
