Being a new blogger, I had never even heard of a swap, much less participated in one. When I started following other posts, I got inspiration from their favorites and soon had a great list of blogs to follow.
In August, I found this lovely blog. One of the first things I found on her blog was a post about swaps. Blueberry had hosted one previously and had decided to host another with 2 themes, Cosy Autumn and Halloween. I adore Autumn. It is my favorite time of year. I love the colors and the bright blue skies and the warm days and cool nights. I love living in the SE in the United States where I am close to one of the most visited national parks, The Great Smoky Mountains. So of course, I chose Cosy Autumn.
I left my choice in the comments stating that I did not mind shipping international and waited to see who I was matched up with. Surprise and joy! Amanda at Crafty in the Med was my swap partner. Amanda was one of the first people to read my blog and has given me such lovely comments and help along the way. I was so, so pleased to be her partner.
I am slowly getting my things together, finished one project and working steadily on another. I came home from visiting my grandchildren over the Labor Day weekend with a nasty virus that put me in bed for 3 days and left me sapped of energy. Amanda and I have communicated by email and things are going to work out. She is such a sweet and kind person.
Anyway, being my first swap, it has been such fun putting things together and I so hope Amanda enjoys the items I will send her.

Two of my favourite blogger friends are partners for the swap! How exciting. Can't wait to see your goodies. International shipping is a bit of a problem for me and I have never entered a swap, but I think it would be fun. Maybe I will start out with my first giveaway and see how the shipping process works out. Enjoy your swap.
