A trip to see the grandbabies

So excited!! I am going to see my grandbabies next weekend. I'm leaving on Friday and not coming back until Tuesday; four days of delightful little person love.

I hope to take lots of pictures and show you these wonderful little creatures who so brighten my day and fill my heart.

I want to share a few pictures from this week. I had a visitor to one of our willow oak trees. Can you see him?

I also wandered down to the Hubs garden but it is winding down and there wasn't much to snap. I did, however, love the really, really tall sunflowers.

And my companion went with me. He waited under his favorite tree for me to be done so we could come back to the AC. He likes being inside when it's hot. This is Bandit, my very spoiled Husky.

And finally, a photo of a square I made for a surprise blanket. I finished it on Saturday and got it in the mail on Tuesday. So YAY! I have an FO. How about that?

As always, thank you for dropping by. I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you might be.

Sharon

    1. They are huge this year. I don't know what the Hubbs did differently but I love them. I so intend to have lots and lots of cuddles from the babies. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Nice work catching the squirrel on camera! They're so - well, squirrely - when anyone's around.

What a very pretty, lacy crochet block. And your dog looks very loveable. Enjoy the grandkids!

    1. This little fellow seems to know he's safe around here. Our dog lies on the porch and watches him but doesn't bother him. He is enjoying the new acorns on the tree.

Thank you for the compliment. I loved doing it. It was really fast and turned out better than I expected.

Oh yes, I will enjoy the grandkids. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Actually, Amanda, that name was given to him by his previous owner. We adopted him from the local animal shelter when his owner gave him up. She lived in an apartment and he became too big very quickly. He was almost a year old when we got him and we've had him 6 years. He's a sweetheart "most" of the time.

    1. Oh no, Annie. He stayed home. He's way too big for me to control and besides, he's such a wimp when it comes to getting in a vehicle. He doesn't like car rides and will not jump into the back of the truck or even up on the rock wall at the back. :) It will be okay. The Hubbs stayed home also so he wasn't alone.
